Jeevan Kafle received his Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 2006 (AD). He completed the MPhil under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shiva P Pudasaini and Prof. Dr. Dil B Gurung  in 2014 (AD) and PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bhadra Man Tuladhar and scientific guidance of Prof. Dr. Shiva P Pudasaini in  2019 (AD) from Kathmandu University, School of Science, Kavre, Nepal. The topic of his PhD dissertation is Advanced Dynamic Simulations of Landslide Generated Tsunami, Submarine Mass Movement, and Obstacle Interaction. Dr. Kafle is currently working in the Central Department of Mathematics, Tribhuvan University, Nepal in the capacity of Assistant Professor. He is engaged in teaching Scientific Computing, Dynamical Fluid Mechanics, and Partial Differential Equation for the Master’s and MPhil program. He has been supervising a number of PhD, Master's and MPhil students in the department. He has published a number of papers in the national and international journals. His research areas are Applied and Computational Mathematics, especially in the modelling and computation of two-phase landslides and induced tsunamis. Recently, he is working as a member of the newly established laboratory: NepNova-Innovation Flows. He remained as the Joint-secretary of Nepal Mathematical Society (NMS) and had contributed in the growth and development of mathematics and its applications in the context of Nepal.
