Jeevan Kafle received his Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 2006 (AD) in the first division with distinction, and MPhil in 2014 (AD), from Kathmandu University, School of Science, Dhulikhel, Kavre Nepal, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shiva P Pudasaini and Prof. Dr. Dil B Gurung. The topic of his MPhil dissertation is Dynamic interactions between a two-phase submarine landslide and a fluid dam. He received his PhD in 2019 (AD) from Kathmandu University, School of Science, Department of Mathematics, Dhulikhel, Kavre Nepal, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bhadra Man Tuladhar. The topic of his PhD dissertation is Advanced Dynamic Simulations of Landslide Generated Tsunami, Submarine Mass Movement, and Obstacle Interaction. Dr. Kafle is currently working in the Central Department of Mathematics, Tribhuvan University, Nepal in the capacity of Assistant Professor. He works as a member of the research group on Differential Equations in the department. Dr. Kafle has published a number of research papers in national and international journals. His research areas are Applied and Computational Mathematics, especially in the modelling and computation of two-phase landslides and induced tsunamis. He has participated in many national and international conferences and workshops. He has taught Scientific Computing, Dynamical Fluid Mechanics, and Algebra courses in the Master’s program. He is a past Joint-secretary of Nepal Mathematical Society (NMS).
